Render a page (browser)

A real Chrome renders the page and clears JavaScript challenges. 4 credits.

4 credits per call; 14 if a captcha is solvedMCP tool: web_render
GEThttps://api.lurkapi.com/v1/web/render

Example responseView as markdown

When to use this

Pass a url; a real Chrome loads it on a static ISP IP, runs its JavaScript and returns the page as rendered. It clears JavaScript challenges (Cloudflare, AWS WAF, Akamai, PerimeterX) and clicks Cloudflare's Turnstile; with captcha=true a solver clears the captchas a click can't. wait_for and wait hold the page until it's ready. Usually 5–15 s; a captcha solved takes 20–30 s. Always 4 credits (+10 when you allow a captcha solve and one happens), charged only when the page comes back; a call that's walled or can't reach the site fails with 502 upstream_error and costs nothing. For a page a site walls against this strategy, /v1/web/scrape (Auto) tries the others in turn, or /v1/web/custom chains the ones you pick. Pages over 2 MB are cut (truncated); use format=markdown for LLMs. The web scraping guide explains each strategy.

Use it in Claude

Once LurkAPI is connected to Claude, this endpoint is the web_render tool. Ask in plain English, for example:

Ask Claude
Use LurkAPI's web_render with url "https://books.toscrape.com/", format "markdown" and summarize what you find.

Claude calls web_render with arguments like these, and each call costs 4 credits; 14 if a captcha is solved:

Tool arguments
{
  "url": "https://books.toscrape.com/",
  "format": "markdown"
}

Tool results skip nulls and empty lists to save tokens.
