To see your followers on Snapchat, tap your Bitmoji or Story icon at the top of the screen, tap View All under Friends & Followers, and open the Followers tab. Those are the people who follow you without being your friend.
If you only see Friends and Following, nothing is broken. The Followers tab comes with a Public Profile, and an account without one has no followers to list.
No Followers tab means no Public Profile
Snapchat gives everyone 16 and over a Public Profile by default, so if yours is missing, something kept it off. Tap your Bitmoji: if there’s no Public Profile button, you don’t have one. Snapchat’s page Why don’t I have a Public Profile? gives three reasons:
- You’re under 16, or under the minimum age where you live.
- The account broke the Community Guidelines in the past.
- Your birthday isn’t set. If you qualify and still see no option, add it in Settings.
The birthday is the one you can fix yourself. Until one of the other two changes, you only have friends: people you added who added you back.
Followers only see your public Stories
A friend is two-way: you added each other. A follower is one-way: they followed your Public Profile, and you don’t have to follow back or even know them.
So what a follower sees depends on where you post. Snaps sent to My Story · Public land in your followers’ Following section on the Stories page. Snaps sent to My Story · Friends stay with your friends. If a follower says your Story never shows up, check which one you picked.
Public Stories also play on the web. Your live public Story plays on your profile at snapchat.com/@yourname for anyone with a browser, no Snapchat account needed.
Snapchat used to call followers subscribers. Since February 2026, “subscriber” can also mean a Creator Subscription, a paid monthly plan that only select creators can offer.
Others can see your follower count, not your followers
With Show Follower Count on, anyone who opens your Public Profile sees how many followers you have, including people on snapchat.com who aren’t signed in. To turn it on or off:
- Tap your Bitmoji or Story icon.
- Tap Public Profile.
- Tap the pencil icon at the top.
- Turn Show Follower Count on or off.
When the count is on, visitors see a short label: Taco Bell’s 464,800 followers read 465K, and the NBA’s 3,561,400 read 3.6M. Kim Kardashian’s profile dropped from 22,927,200 to 22,911,500 followers in less than a day, and it said 23M before and after.
null.So don’t read your growth off the label. Your own number is in Insights on your Public Profile: the Audience section shows how many followers you have, plus their age and gender once you pass 200.
Check any public profile’s full count, no account needed
To see someone’s count without signing in, type the username into our free Snapchat story viewer. It shows the profile with its follower count, the live Story, highlights and Spotlight videos. 5 lookups a day are free, with no signup.
For the full number behind the label, or to track counts over time for your own brand or a list of creators, it’s one request per profile to the Snapchat profile endpoint. The count comes back as subscriberCount, under Snapchat’s old word, as the full number. It’s null when the count is hidden or the account has no Public Profile.
