What people use it for
A clip with its sound
Reddit stores picture and sound apart. You get one MP4 with both, ready for your edit.
Keep a how-to
Save a repair or cooking clip to watch while you do it.
Send the video, not a link
Share the file in a group chat, so nobody needs the Reddit app to watch.
FAQ
Why do some Reddit downloads have no sound?
Reddit stores picture and sound apart, and many tools save only the picture. This saves the MP4 Reddit packs with sound.
Why doesn't the link from the Reddit app work?
Share links like reddit.com/r/…/s/… only work in a browser. Open yours and paste the address with /comments/ in it.
What quality do I get?
The best MP4 with sound Reddit has, up to 1080p.
Is this Reddit video downloader free?
Yes. No account: 5 free tries a day. A free account gets 100 credits, topped up to 25 daily. Each post uses one try, or 1 credit with an account.
Do you keep a copy of the video?
No. Reddit blocks other sites from saving its videos, so the file passes through lurkapi.com on its way to you. Nothing is stored.
