# X (Twitter) API

## Overview

Read public X (Twitter) the way a logged-out visitor sees x.com: one tweet with its full engagement counts and media, an account's profile with exact follower numbers, and an account's recent tweets. Useful for social listening, creator and competitor research, and tracking how posts perform. Protected accounts' tweets and age-restricted tweets need a login, so they return 404 `not_found`.
